Humans of RCL FOODS – Thandolwethu Mathiba

RCL FOODS are proud to share the inspiring story of Thandolwethu Truelove Mathiba, a talented 25-year-old Vector Logistics merchandiser.

When she’s not working with our team, Thandolwethu is making waves in the world of boxing, pursuing her dream of becoming Africa’s number 1 ranked mini flyweight female boxer. This is her story.

After losing both parents at 5 years old, Thandolwethu found a loving home with her grandmother. In a twist of fate, she was introduced to boxing 5 years later by her neighbour and coach, Mr. Vusi Khulu.

Since then, Thandolwethu’s dedication and hard work have seen her rise through the ranks at local and district events. Today, she holds the prestigious title of South Africa’s No 1 ranked female boxer in the Mini Fly Weight Category (48-50kg) and is ranked 19th globally in the same category.

Thandolwethu has just competed at the AFBC Africa Elite Men and Women Boxing Championship in the Elite Women 48-50KG Light Fly category.
In an outstanding display of passion and skill, Thandolwethu placed 3rd in her category in Africa.

Beyond her boxing prowess, Thandolwethu is a valued member of the Vector Logistics team since starting in April 2021. Based in New Castle KZN, she has skillfully balanced her career as a merchandiser with her rigorous training schedule 7 days a week!

RCL FOODS takes immense pride in supporting Thandolwethu’s boxing aspirations. We stand behind her and are honoured to be part of her journey. Congratulations Thandolwethu on this outstanding achievement.
