Food Partners does that little MORE for a locked down South Africa

RCL FOODS has always been passionate about providing MORE FOOD TO MORE PEOPLE MORE OFTEN. As a leading South African Food Manufacturer, we are committed now, more than ever, to supporting our retail food service customers so that they are able to put food on South African tables. Over the past few weeks, four key teams within our Food Partners division have gone above and beyond to serve a multitude of businesses in different channels from quick service restaurants, retail delis to forecourts and bakeries.

Passionate about food and partnership, these teams are proof that not all heroes wear capes. Eugene de Kock,  Food Partners’ National Technical Support Manager, went beyond the call of duty by taking a 7-hour round trip by car during the lockdown to assist a customer with a baking product issue. When asked why he made this trip, he answered, “I am extremely passionate about the brands that I represent and I live for being able to problems solve daily.”

Doing that little MORE is in our DNA, with one of the key values that our people live by being MORE brave: we have the courage to do the right thing, make bold decisions and learn from our mistakes. Passionate about ensuring the health and safety of individuals and adding value to our customers in a way that a true partner would, Food Partners’ Regional Technical Advisor, Mandy Brown was MORE BRAVE  when she addressed food hygiene concerns with one of our retail food service customers. Our customer was so appreciative of the value that Mandy added to their business, that they implemented the changes right away and the partnership is now even stronger than before.

Our team of real-life heroes continues with 14 professional bakers currently assisting customers in-store with the national production of bread and rolls. Our Outlet training team continues their hard work training customers on producing truly ‘MOREish’ baked goods.

While we’re doing that little MORE to provide food to South Africa during this challenging time, our team is also finding different ways to have MORE FUN. Our Outlet Team leaders ‘meet’ online for coffee every morning to ‘socially connect’ during ‘physical distancing’. Our Inland Outlet Field and Coastal Outlet Field Teams are seeing and doing things differently as we all adapt to a ‘new normal’ by doing telesales calls. This has helped us not only maintain normal supply, service and support to our full customer universe, but to double our touch points in the process. That’s MORE IMPACT!

We’re so proud to have teams like Food Partners in RCL FOODS who continue to dedicate their time and energy to doing that little MORE, everyday-showing us all that every little MORE can make a big difference. We believe in positive small meaningful actions: more people doing many littles can have MORE IMPACT, especially right now!
