Celebrating The Successes of Star School’s Brightest Stars

As the dust settles on the 2023 academic year, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to last year’s 40 exceptional Star School matriculants – particularly the top 5 performers: Acron Mthembu, Siphosethu Lubisi, Portia Ntimba, Soft Chambale, and Frank Lubisi.

Top student, Acron, is currently pursuing medicine at Sefako Makgatho. As our top achiever for 2023, he was awarded with a laptop to help set him up for future success. Inspired by personal experiences with a sick grandmother and a desire for positive change, Acron hopes to address healthcare issues in his community.

Similarly, Siphosethu’s drive to become a doctor stem from his background with a single mother who was often sick. His goal is to improve healthcare accessibility and make a difference in his community by studying at the Sefako Makgatho School of Medicine.

Portia is studying Audiology at UKZN, Soft is currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Johannesburg, while Frank is perusing Computer Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

As we celebrate the achievements of Star School’s brightest stars, we are reminded of the potential that lies within every student. With that in mind, we wish the class of 2024 all the best. It is our hope that your predecessor’s success will inspire yours.
