Back-to-School Success with Sunbake

At Sunbake, we’re just as passionate about freshness as we are about growing what matters. It’s why we’re invested in education and the role it plays in shaping lives and strengthening communities.

Last year, the Sunbake Back-to-School campaign allowed shoppers who purchased Sunbake to vote for a school of their choice to receive a brand-new classroom, valued at R350k each. The eligible schools are in impoverished areas where they face tremendous hurdles like unemployment among parents and overcrowding, sometimes with up to 70 students per class. With a little help from Sunbake and a few new classrooms, we know there will be extra room, fun and most of all, learning!

Congratulations to our deserving winners: Mphoti Primary in Mpumalanga, Kgadime Matsepe Secondary in Shoshanguve, and Maolwe Primary in Tzaneen. Whilst the winning schools were announced last year, team Sunbake recently travelled to each school to hand over the classrooms. What an incredible experience it was to meet the teachers and students who will be benefitting from our campaign and the goodwill of shoppers nationwide.

We all know that there’s “nothing fresher under the sun” than Sunbake but for once, we’re going to have to disagree. The only thing fresher is rising together.
